About Mr Bottle's Magic Academy

Mr Bottle experienced how magic has helped him and wanted to use the same methods to help his children.

He taught his 1-year-old daughter to do the magic. At that age, his toddler was still unable to walk but could carry out a magic trick with completion. What surprised Mr Bottle was seeing her resetting the props herself after seeing how her father did it!

After 5 years of development, and persuasion by his wife, he decided to share his methodology with the world.

With the value of empowering children using magic, Mr Bottle has created a curriculum that teaches life values like respect, empathy, and adaptability via magic.

In his special programme, children make the magic props from scratch so they understand the principles behind the magic.

Having many success stories with schools, teachers have been inviting Mr. Bottle's academy as part of the schools' resilience programme, social skills programme as well as many others inspiring customised programmes.

Why does magic make a difference?

Magic is probably the only art form that is multi-disciplinary; involving sciences, mathematics, psychology, theatre, and many more!

Mr Bottle's Magic Academy focuses on teaching students how to perform. (and not secrets) In other words, our hands-on workshops are fun sessions to learn not only magic, but they will also take home skills like confidence, creative thinking, and presentation through kinesthetic activities.

Developed by a psychologist,  every lesson is customised based on the children’s age group and learning ability. Crafts and games are incorporated into the lessons to make them more interactive and fun! The children are also encouraged to put up a short performance at the end of the workshop to showcase what they have learnt.

Mr Bottle has taught magic:

  • for language schools to inspire children to use the language in a fun way
  • at schools for youths-at-risk who see a change of behaviours in a short period of 4-5 weeks
  • at the Istana where children learned and performed magic for President Halimah Yacob
  • to children as part of Act 3 International festival
  • at primary schools for their resilience and social skills programme
  • to magicians at the Vietnam Magic Convention 2019 in Ho Chi Minh, at Magic Extravaganza in Kuala Lumpur
  • at PayPal’s Bring Your Kids to Work 2019 and at Facebook’s Family Hack 2019
  • local schools and International Schools (Mr Bottle is a certified trainer for MOE)
